Furthermore\, it is crucial to the health\, safety and well-being of every member of society. Many individuals participate in philanthropic activities\, such as various forms of charitable giving to local nonprofits\, but many companies have robust Corporate Philanthropy platforms as well. \n\n\n\nJoin us to hear a robust panel discussion on the important role philanthropy plays in the ecosystem of our communities and how it can inspire us all to make a difference. The Carying Place teaches homeless\, working families with children\, life skills for attaining independent living while providing short-term housing and support services to address their individual needs. Over a 16-week period\, families paired with a volunteer team of Support Partners that provide weekly guidance in managing personal finances\, setting attainable goals\, seeking permanent affordable housing and maintaining their employment. Since their inception\, they have served over 400 families and currently the program supports 7 families at a time.
