Price of Love: One Women’s Journey through Domestic Violence
Join us to hear from Author Tanisha M. Bagley, as she discusses her journey through domestic violence. Tanisha has dedicated her life to speaking and educating people of all ages in hopes that her story will save lives. Tanisha’s works include training over seven hundred Raleigh, North Carolina Police Officers, The North Carolina Department of Corrections, Expos, Vigils, Panels, Middle and High Schools, Universities, Churches, and Book Clubs. Her most rewarding work outside of educating youth on violence prevention is rehabilitating inmates of The S.O.A.R. (Sexual Offenders Accountability and Responsibility) Program and The S.T.O.P and Change Direction Domestic Violence Education and Treatment Program. She has held numerous workshops at events such as Women's Empowerment and Federal Domestic Violence Conferences.
About our Speaker
Born in the Bronx, New York and sharing her childhood with Palmer Springs, Virginia, Tanisha Bagley is an author, public speaker, entrepreneur and advocate for victims and survivors of domestic violence, rape and sexual assault. Tanisha’s personal testimony (as a survivor) has inspired audiences across the country. Tanisha has dedicated her life to speaking and educating people of all ages in hopes that her story will save lives. She has been featured on media outlets such as: The Russ Parr Morning Show, The Tom Joyner Morning Show’s Stop the Violence Promotion, The Reverend Al Sharpton Show, and The Montel Williams Show. She was also featured in PINK Magazine and was an invited audience guest at The Oprah Winfrey Show. Tanisha has received numerous awards including: The 2008 Mentor of the Year Award from the 100 Black Men of Triangle East Chapter, and the 2008 Citizen of the Year Awards from the Iota Iota Chapter and the 6th District of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
