Power of Inclusion Series: Feb 2023
Privilege for Sale
Privilege is the benefits and advantages held by a group in power, or in a majority, that arise because of the oppression and suppression of minority groups. Examples of privilege include but are not limited to age, religion, ability, gender identity, race, class, sexuality, gender, and education. Understanding privilege requires an active effort to see things from the perspective of other, underprivileged people.
Join us for a workshop featuring Dr. Torri Staton, VP of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusivity, Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, Triangle DEI alliance, as she discusses the intersectionality of privilege and how to acknowledge our own privilege and others.
