Description
Enhancing Conversations Through Stories and Sharing
Join us as we hear from Matthew Kane, Co-Founder of Our Stories - Brave Conversations on Race and the Launch City initiative, with Veronica Bent, Our Stories Advocate, on the importance of open conversations with people who are different than us on a consistent and regular basis. We’ll dive into what Our Stories does, how you can progress change, and how to grow as a person while fostering a safe space for others to grow as well. We encourage you to dive deep into this "transformative" experience with us and help bring people together for a conversation for a chance to get to know each other.
From Matthew Kane: " Our Stories is about people sharing their stories and listening to the stories of others. We intentionally avoid politics and remind people we’re here to share from our own lived experiences and that’s how we’re going to come to appreciate and understand one another. If the conversation trends towards politics, Facilitators gently redirect conversations away from debate and return to shared experiences."

About The Power of Inclusion Series
Organizations and institutions across the country are quickly realizing that diversity cannot be the end goal. Instead, we must develop safe, open, and inclusive environments for all to collaborate and co-exist. This series highlights a specific topic of diversity, equity, and inclusion on a deeper level, giving business and community leaders additional resources to be inclusive in their everyday lives.
