Abundant Thinking: Achieve your Career Goals
Are you optimistic, confident and appreciative, or live by the motto "there is more where that came from"? If so, you may be an abundant thinker. Abundant thinking is often described as a mindset that gives you the creative agency and grit to reach your vision by beginning to start to notice more options, more choices and more resources in your life. Can you imagine what your career would look like if you no longer limited yourself or were able to think big and see more than the tasks you have at hand? You might become more productive, climb the corporate ladder or have the vision to open up your own business.
Hear three rapid keynote presentations from Heather Brewer and Catherine Fain, Co-Owners at PAINTBASE and Maggie Underhill, Franchise Owner at PAINTBASE as they describe their unique journeys to business ownership and how the principles of abundant thinking can help you achieve your own personal career goals.
Takeaways you can expect:
- Resources speakers sought on their entrepreneurial venture
- Sources of motivation when you feel like quitting
- How to balance having a career and pursuing a passion
Nonprofit Highlight: YMCA of the Triangle
At this luncheon we will collecting books for the YMCA of the Triangle's summer program, Camp High Hopes. Camp High Hopes is a completely subsidized summer day camp where campers participate in character-development activities, literacy instruction, sports and swim lessons. This program supports elementary and middle school aged children who financially would not be able to afford camp otherwise.
The YMCA has found that the children show a greater passion for reading when given the opportunity to read specific books. Suggested titles to donate include:
- Diary of a Wimpy Kid
- Dork Diaries
- Babysitters Club Graphix
- Big Nate
- Dog Man
- Narwhal
- Raina Telgemeier books
- Phoebe and Her Unicorn books
- The last kids on Earth
