Neuro Diversity
Join us, in partnership with The Diversity Movement, to hear from a number of inspiring people from all over the Triangle, as we share stories and successes of those who identify as neurodivergent and how to advocate for those with disabilities. We'll hear from Jackie Ferguson, Head of Content & Programming at The Diversity Movement, as she presents on the basics of Neurodiversity. We'll also hear from Lindsay Wrege, Founder of 321 Coffee, as she dives deeper into integrating all types of people into a workplace, and Matthew Schwab will present his Ted Talk "How I Know Including People with Down Syndrome is a Good Thing."
We'll also hear stores from two local Special Olympics Athletes!
You'll take away a better understanding of neurodiversity, how neurodivergent employees can benefit your team and organization, and concessions that can set your neurodivergent employees up for success, and we hope you'll be inspired by the motivating stories you'll hear in this program.
Organizations and institutions across the country are quickly realizing that diversity cannot be the end goal. Instead, we must develop safe, open, and inclusive environments for all to collaborate and co-exist. Through this event, you'll hear ways of how to foster honest and robust conversations surrounding multiple generations within a workforce and tips on how to be more generationally sensitive in a fast paced and ever-changing work environment. About The Power of Inclusion Series
Organizations and institutions across the country are quickly realizing that diversity cannot be the end goal. Instead, we must develop safe, open, and inclusive environments for all to collaborate and co-exist. This series highlights a specific topic of diversity, equity, and inclusion on a deeper level, giving business and community leaders additional resources to be inclusive in their everyday lives.
