Meet The Panelists:
Dee Young, Chief Information Security Officer, UNC Health
A dynamic executive with more than twenty years experience in leadership positions across healthcare, academia and industry, Dee is currently the Chief Information Security Officer for UNC Health system, where she leads the UNC Health Information Security teams responsible for cybersecurity, security compliance, and cyber risk management efforts.
Erkang Zheng, Founder and CEO, JupiterOne
Previously, CISO of LifeOmic and Head of Software Security at Fidelity Investments Personal Investing, and current founder and CEO of JupiterOne in Morrisville, he’s held several security practitioner roles at IBM, including Global Practices Leader, and GTM strategy and product management for Security Services. Erkang earned a BS degree in computer science from North Carolina State University and an MS degree in computer science from North Carolina State University. He holds five patents, multiple industry certifications and is a regular speaker at major security conferences including RSA, BSides, and more.
Supervisory Special Agent Jessica Nye is the current Supervisor of the FBI Cyber Squad in Raleigh, NC. Prior to her arrival in North Carolina in 2015, SSA Nye spent eight years working in the Baltimore Field Office on their Cyber Squad and two years at FBI Cyber Division Headquarters in Washington DC. She has significant experience working cyber-related matters including computer intrusion investigations, intellectual property (IP) rights violations, theft of trade secrets, economic espionage and other investigations.
Nathan Brown, Wake Tech Community College
Nathan Brown is the Director of Cyber Security and CISO for Wake Tech Community College and joined the college in October of 2020. In this role he is responsible for all the cyber security policy, operations, and strategic direction of cyber security initiatives for the school. Nathan also has 24 years Air Force experience, the last 15 in cyber security including commanding the 185th Cyberspace Operations Squadron that was tasked with providing defensive cyber capabilities to the Department of Defense. He led a Cyber Protection Team for US Cyber Command in its role of evaluating, remediating, and defending against attacks from high capability nation states. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and has achieved multiple security certifications over the years.
