At this Morrisville Chamber Signature Event, attendees will hear from Bill Spruill, recognized by the Triangle Business Journal as the 2022 Business Person of the Year, as he shares fascinating insights about the meteoric rise of his company, Global Data Consortium, his motivation behind selling that company for over $300 million, and how he has repositioned himself to become a strong practitioner of an “engaged philanthropy” model of giving in his support of the Triangle and support of minorities within the technology sector. 

This year's Annual Meeting, estimated to draw more than 300 esteemed chamber and community members, elected officials, and distinguished guests, promises an unforgettable experience filled with  reflection on the achievements of this past year and the plans for the year ahead. In recognition of excellence, we'll proudly present the 2023 Awards for Small Business of the Year, Community Steward of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, and Ambassador of the Year. About Our Keynote Speaker

Founder, Investor, Board Member, and Keystone Species, focused on the growth and connectivity of the Triangle technology ecosystem. Bill Spruill is the co-founder and former CEO of Global Data Consortium (GDC), the most widely channel distributed global identity verification platform. In his tenure, he oversaw the formation of more than 50 enterprise channel relationships and established a cohort of more than 120 data suppliers creating a unique consortium business model that drove roughly $70M in revenues over the life of the business. Bill led the recent acquisition of GDC to the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) for $300 million making it one of the largest minority founder exits in the enterprise technology sector in U.S. history. He currently sits on the board for nCino, Inc. and is a keynote speaker for 2ndF, an organization focused on encouraging cross-pollination of innovative learnings, strategic connections, and function-driven mentorship throughout the Triangle.
