Description
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is one of the most complicated pieces of legislation to affect businesses since the Americans with Disabilities Act. Understanding the requirements and preparing now for implementation in January will help businesses save significant time and money. The Morrisville Chamber is pleased to have Melissa Speck, senior strategic advisor for Blue Cross Blue Shield present key requirements of the legislation.
Melissa Speck is a Senior Strategic Advisor within the Health Policy Office at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree from George Mason University and received her Master’s in Management from Webster University. Melissa has worked in the health care regulatory and policy arena for more than 16 years with positions at the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania and Premera Blue Cross in Washington. Melissa joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina in May, 2012.
